Mechanical Commissioning Engineer - Brunel Energy

Job description
We are looking for candidates with Oil & Gas experience preferably in remote locations similar to Algeria and Libya. These roles will be working for the Operator and on a 28/28 rotation.

Essential Job Functions:• Develop project commissioning procedures and method statements necessary to safely start up the facilities. Review & approve all commissioning procedures prepared by the various project contractors.
• Accept on behalf of company, all contractor Pre-commissioning /commissioning tests and checks and associated I.T.R’s
• Manage and witness and approve all tests and checks carried out during pre-commissioning/commissioning and start-up of the central processing facility and offsite infrastructure.
• Ensure the design and construction of the facilities is completed to project specifications, relevant codes and industry norms and verify design from a commissioning and operability standpoint.
• Manage and audit contractor and vendor personnel working practices and procedures to ensure compliance with project procedures during Mechanical Completion through to start-up of the facility
• Communicating with Operations, Facilities management, site Contractors, vendors and others as necessary to ensure commissioning works are carried out in a planned and co-ordinated manner.
• Liaise with operations department regarding permit to work issues, carry out system isolations of equipment and facilities during commissioning and start-up phases.
• Evaluating potential risk utilising project risk review and assessment tools and procedures. Participate in the risk review process and onsite risk assessments


Qualifications:• Degree qualified in Engineering or related discipline required

Required Experience:• Minimum 15 years commissioning experience in the Oil & Gas industry.
• Experienced in the commissioning of gas compression, process and utilities system and associated equipment.
• Experience with working in remote onshore processing facilities in overseas locations working with a multi-cultural workforce.
• Team player with leadership skills. Highly developed interpersonal skills, verbal and written communication.
• Positively interactive with contractors, operations and project personnel.

Additional experience/requirements:• English (French would be advantageous but not mandatory

Engineering posts must be degree qualified
