POSITION: ACCOUNTANT I

Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities
Under direct supervision, assist in the day-to-day accounting activities which may include maintenance of a complete and accurate general ledger and/or in the preparation of basic financial reports.
Responsible for the actuals and plans for ledgers and bank reconciliation.
Assist the accountingstaff in monthly closes of the ledger.
Assist in various account reconciliations and analyses.
Handle special projects, as assigned.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting / Finance or equivalent.
Desired/Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and procedures.
Good attention to detail with good analytical skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Good PC skills.
Ability to handle multiple activities successfully.
Strong customer focus.

Job Description:

Successful candidates will be responsible for:
1) Shopper Based Design Program (SBD) administration. This covers
- Maintaining Customer database and tracking of stores.
- Preparing SBD standard booklet and planogram booklet and shipment to sales team
- Tracking program deliverables and communicating with sales team
- Verifying and analyzing Program data
 
PRICE TRACKING
- Owning Price reporting, tracking and update process for all West African Countries
- Analyzing prices and sharing report with team.
- Maintaining Price strategy database across brands.
- Managing interface with field sales team on pricing tracker
 
CORPORATE CHANNEL PROGRAMS.
- Tracking Channel results
- Managing Corporate merchandiser force ( Supermarket/ Wholesalers and Permanent merchandisers).
- Initiative tracking.
- Creating Customer database by channel
- Liaise with field Sales team for Data e.g.  visibility data etc.
- Sharing of brand educational messages with selected customers.
 
CORPORATE BUDGET MANAGMENT
- Managing and Tracking Corporate Budgets
- Executing budget tracking and control process for all Corporate programs.
 
SALES MATERIALS
Partnering with Brand operations assistant in charge of sales materials;
- Ensure consistency in production/supply of all sales materials to the field
- Follow up with field sales team to ensure adequate supply and availability of sales materials.
- Managing Market strategy and planning interface with Brand operations team on production, shipment and tracking of sales materials.
Successful candidate will also be responsible for planning brand launch/sales meetings for sales team.
 
Qualification:
The requirement for this position is an OND only in any discipline. Note that Bsc. and HND holders will not be considered.
 
Note that:  No previous experience is required. Successful candidates will be trained on the job

Position:
 Engineering Manager
The candidate shall be responsible for all Engineering activities of the Company and is expected to execute the following:
- Plan, co-ordinate and manage all engineering projects in the upstream sector of the oil gas industry relating to the following:
• Surface and subsea facilities
• Conceptual design, FEEF and detailed engineering design
• Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Installation and commissioning
- Co-ordinate the preparation scope of Work and budget for projects
- Manage the project execution activities to ensure they are implemented within budget and schedule
- Design and execute tendering processes
- Manage relationships with contractors
- Supervise and provide leadership to staff Engineers
- Ensure that all data and reports related to Engineers
- Ensure that all reports are prepared and submitted to all relevant authorities
- Obtain in time all necessary approvals from all relevant authorities
- Maintain good working relationships with Government agencies

Requirements- Bsc (minimum of a 2nd class upper) in any Engineering discipline
- Approximately 15 – 20 years relevant experience in experience in Engineering Projects within the Oil and Gas industry
- Good knowledge of construction activities management, procurement, logistics and supply chain
- Good knowledge of onshore/offshore production facilities and maintenance
- Well organized and safety conscious
- Good project management skills
- Good leadership and supervisory skills
- Good people management and relationship skills
- Ability to speak French would be an advantage
