Job description
The Stock Accounts Keeper will be responsible for the management, record keeping and safety of stock. The role is based in Lagos
Responsibilities
Verification of inventory computations by comparing them to physical counts of stock and investigate discrepancies or adjust errors
Stock Management and Record keeping
Prepare and maintain records and reports of inventories, shipments and goods transferred between boutiques.
Examine and inspect stock items for wear and defects, reporting any damage to line manager.
Keep records on the use, damage of stock and stock handling equipments
Recommend disposal of excess, defective or obsolete stock
Ensure that there are adequate stock levels of consumables (receipts, invoice booklets, shopping bags) is maitained
Mark stock items using identification tags, stamps, electric marking tools or
other labeling equipment.
Clean and maintain supplies, tools, equipment and storage areas in order to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
Submission of monthly report on fast-selling and slow-moving items.
Determine proper storage methods, identification and stock location based on turnover, environmental factors and physical capabilities of facilities
Qualifications/Experience
University degree in Accounting
Minimum of 4 years experience in stock keeping and accounting
Experience with luxury brands is an advantage
Excellent record keeping, oratory, presentation, and report writing skills
Excellent use of Ms-Excel and Peachtree packages are necessary
Numerically savvy
